Hi All!
Though I already know I am not very good at blogging, I decided to try again since my communication with both family and friends this summer will be limited. Hopefully this will be a better way to keep everyone updated throughout the adventure God has for me.
This summer I will be in Uganda, Africa serving with Hope Alive! through the ministry of WorldVenture. Hope Alive! serves and ministers to orphans and fragile families, similar to Compassion International (it is not an orphanage). I will be tutoring for the after-school program, leading games, supervising crafts, helping start a choir, teaching Bible hour, and many other things that the staff there has planned for me. Most of all I know that I will be learning so much from the Ugandans and Hope Alive! staff - which I am excited about more than what I will be doing when I am there to teach or minister to them.

- Let's see...In the summer before I started highschool I attended a Christian camp, where God called me to serve Him through music, missions and ministry. I'm still not sure about everything He wants me to do, but am learning more everyday. I volunteer in the Awana Ministry (one of my passions), and enjoy being a part of a ministry that has played a huge role in my life. I absolutely love the piano and everything relating to it! I also play the clarinet and saxophone. I like to play softball (fastpitch), but also love playing other sports with family and friends. I was homeschooled since...well, forever! haha I am now attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL with a World Missions-International Ministries and Bible Major, plus an Interdisciplinary (minor) in Music.
